The oak disc used for the tabletop originally served as the wedding cake platter at the client’s wedding. They commissioned a table made from the disc so it could continue to be used and serve as a lasting reminder of their special day.

A custom base was designed to complement the top without drawing attention away from it, allowing the oak disc to remain the clear focal point of the piece.

The disc was kept as untouched as possible, with the top surface left entirely unaltered. The oak was stabilised using resin infused with bronze metallic powder, while clear resin was used around the bark edge to preserve it preventing material that would naturally have been lost over time.
